Obituary

Morris Dean Oesterly, 63, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Morris is preceded in death by his father, Neil Oesterly. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Oesterly; daughter, Sarah Polo; son-in-law, Juan Polo; brother, Mark Oesterly; and his previous wife, Janet Oesterly.

Morris was a proud Christian, conservative and Republican, in that order. He served for years as a pastor in northern Ohio, and then as a camera technician at Louisville's Wave 3 television station. After becoming disabled, he pursued studies in Computer Science and amateur radio (call sign K4MDO). He was extremely proud of his certifications and all of the improvements he did to his Louisville home and garden. He also loved music, and played the trumpet and cornet. His intelligence, fierce wit, and soft heart will be missed. We know he is having the best first week in Heaven.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 24th at 11:00 am in the California City Cemetery, California, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of California, MO.
