Steven Wayne Colvin departed this earth in the company of angels on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, in his home.
He was born July 9, 1954, in Ogden, Utah, to parents Marilyn (Malan) Colvin Wilson and Wayne D. Colvin. He was united in marriage on October 11, 1974, to Karen Denise (Osborne) Colvin.
Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman, was a member of the NRA, and thoroughly enjoyed vintage cars, including his 1965 and 1973 Mustangs. He loved walking in the woods and enjoying all nature had to offer. He also enjoyed the time he spent on his tractor and backhoe. He liked staying busy and enjoyed remodeling his own home as well as many others. Steve never met a stranger and enjoyed conversing with his many friends.
His years of employment included carpentry, 20 years of employment at Nordyne, Inc. in Boonville, MO, where he was a lead person, a supervisor, managed quality and production and a friend to many there. He was employed by Premier Services in Shipping/Receiving for 3 years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Colvin, stepmother, Arlene Colvin, stepfather, Ernie Wilson, younger brother, Eddie Colvin, stepsister, Cindy Jessop Webb, mother and father-in-law, John and Ethel Osborne, and brother-in-law Art Rosean.
Steve is survived by his wife, Denise Colvin, mother, Marilyn Wilson, sister Pam (Adam) Gardiner, brother, Wes Colvin (Natalie), step sister, Robin Brennan (Robert), step brother, Craig Jessop, sisters-in-law, Darlene Rosean, and Geri Uribe (Manuel), and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In accordance with CDC recommendations, services will be private. Memorials are suggested to Bethel Cemetery Fund in c/o Denise Colvin, 302 North Mill Street, Jamestown MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, California and Eldon MO.
